Last Week Recap
Men's Basketball bounced back this week and went 2-0 with one home and away game. The Golden Eagles started their week at home against #8 Grace where they put on a dominant performance and led nearly the entire game.
Luke Rowlinson led the way for the Golden Eagles with 23 points followed by
Blake Stewart's 15 points.
Connor Dykema also posted 10 points and nine boards in the game as they won 87-78. Cornerstone then hit the road and took on Olivet Nazarene where they found another victory 73-66.
Kayden Bird posted 17 points as he found success from behind the arc and knocked down five three pointers in the contest that led the Golden Eagles to the win. Men's Basketball currently sits with a 2-2 record as they head into their solo game week.
Scouting #19 Huntington
Huntington comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 5-0 averaging 90.2 points per-game. The Foresters took down WHAC opponent Lawrence Tech 87-83 on their road to an early undefeated start to the year. Huntington is shooting 49.6% from the field and 39.8% from behind the arc as they are led by senior Lane Sparks who is coming off a 32-point performance. The Golden Eagles will head into the matchup against the Foresters this weekend looking to bring home their second ranked victory of the season.
