Last Week Recap
Men's Basketball played in just one game this past week and it was against #13 Huntington. The Golden Eagles battled throughout the game against the very good Forester team, finding themselves down 17 at one point to eventually leading by three. Yet, Huntington found a way to win on their home court beating the Golden Eagles 82-78. Luke Rowlinson led the way for the men with 18 points as he continues to lead the way averaging 18.4 points per-game.

Scouting Rochester Christian
Rochester Christian comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with a perfect 5-0 record with all of their games coming at home. This is the first true road test for the Warriors, but they have beaten some good teams to open the season. The Warriors have a trio of guards that lead the way in Gunner Walters, Brody Parker, and Brett White, all veterans of the team. Brody Parker and Brett White swept the WHAC Player of the Week honors this past week as both players averaged over 20 points per-game in their 2-0 weekend. The Warriors average around 80.6 points per-game while shooting 43.4% from the field.

Scouting Madonna
Madonna comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 2-3 as they face off against Lourdes to open the week. Madonna was ranked preseason #21 but has struggled to open the year falling to #8 Grace and #13 Huntington before finding a needed win over the weekend. Like Rochester Christian, Madonna is led by their veteran core of players in Brendan Young, Isaac Anderson, and Matthew MacLellan. The Crusaders average around 88.2 points per-game while shooting 48.2% from the field while holding opponents to around 79 and 42.9% from the field. This will be the first rematch at Madonna since the WHAC Tournament Championship game in which the Golden Eagles won 88-73.
