GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After a week break, men's basketball returns to action with a home against Cleary, looking to rebound off a tough loss. The Golden Eagles welcome the Cougars on Saturday, December 14 with tipoff starting at 3 p.m.

Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles had a two-game conference week last week and came away 1-1. Men's Basketball opened the week with an impressive win over Michigan-Dearborn 10-4-67 that saw seven different players in double-figures. They would then return home to face off against Indiana Tech in a battle of unbeatens and couldn't find any offensive rhythm as they lost 72-66. The loss moves them to 4-1 in conference play and their first loss at home this season.
WHAC Update
Through the first five games for most teams, there is where the WHAC standings stand; Indiana Tech leads the way with a perfect 5-0 record. Lourdes, Cornerstone, and Lawrence Tech are in a battle for second with record of 4-1. UNOH, Aquinas, Madonna, Siena Heights, and Michigan-Dearborn are all 2-3 with Rochester Christian, Concordia, Cleary, and Defiance at the bottom at 1-3 or 1-4.
Scouting Cleary
Cleary comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 2-7 (1-3) with a matchup against Grace Christian before Cornerstone. The second year WHAC team is coming off a 77-73 victory over Concordia last Saturday in which Bennie Crenshaw Jr. led the way with 21 points. He also leads the Cougars scoring at 12.3 points per-game.
