GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Basketball welcomed the Cougars of Cleary and fell in overtime 78-77. Cleary got out to an early lead and continued to battle with the Golden Eagles all game and eventually into overtime. The Cougars made 14 threes for the game at a 63.6% clip which determined to be the difference maker in the game as they won on a three pointer late in overtime. The Golden Eagles were led by
Stephanie Ainsworth as she recorded another double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds. Women's Basketball falls to 12-12 (10-9) on the season as they welcome Lawrence Tech on Saturday, February 17 for their final home regular season game.

- Cleary opened the game making back-to-back threes to take a 6-0 advantage over the Golden Eagles.

- Cleary has answered with a 7-0 run to take a big 29-23 lead over the Golden Eagles with three-minutes remaining in the second quarter.
- Megan Bennett ends the scoring drought for the Golden Eagles, but they find themselves losing at halftime 32-25.
- Third Quarter
- Cornerstone opened the second half on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 32 through the first two-minutes.
- A 5-0 run by Cleary sees them retake the lead 40-35, but another three from Jaylee long makes it 40-38.
- Cleary finishes through contact as they continue to maintain their lead 47-42. Olivia Kubik drills a three next possession to make it 47-45 with three-minutes to go in the third.
- Cleary heads into the fourth quarter with a 52-47 lead over the Golden Eagles.
- Fourth Quarter
- Olivia Kubik drills a corner three for Cornerstone to open the fourth quarter scoring.
- Cleary continues to shoot well from the three-point line as this three gave them a 60-54 lead with six-minutes to go.
- A 5-0 run by the Golden Eagles forces Cleary to call a timeout. Maddison Fulks made a three and Jaylee Long followed that up with a layup to highlight the run.
- Stephanie Ainsworth makes the layup off the pass from Jaylee Long to give Cornerstone their first lead of the game since the first half, 61-60 with 2:30 to go.
- Cleary answered with a 5-0 run to retake the lead 65-61 thanks to another three-pointer made.
- Olivia Kubik makes back-to-back jumpers for the Golden Eagles to tie the game 65-65 with 20 seconds remaining as Cleary has the ball.
- Cornerstone forces a turnover on the defensive end and has an opportunity to win the game but was unable to get a shot off as the game heads into overtime tied 65-65.
- Overtime
- Cleary opens the fourth quarter on a 4-0 run thanks to quick baskets around the rim, making it 69-65.
- Cornerstone used a 5-0 run of their own to tie the game at 72 after an Olivia Kubik three.
- Stephanie Ainsworth makes the layup to give the Golden Eagles a 74-72 lead after the Cougar turnover.
- Cleary ties the game at 74 the next possession but Maddison Fulks responds with a big three pointer to give them a 77-74 advantage with a minute left.
- After a Golden Eagle missed shot, Cleary makes the transition three to take a 78-77 lead with 23 seconds remaining.
- The Golden Eagle miss the game winning shot and fall to Cleary 78-77.
