FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Golden Eagles took on the Indiana Tech Warriors in Indiana Tech's Schaefer Center in a five-set thriller, which saw the Golden Eagles defeat the Warriors for the first time in program history and see Cornerstone maintain their #2 spot in the WHAC men's volleyball standings. The first set was an Indiana Tech show as they hit .217, having only four hitting errors to Cornerstone's 11. The Warriors took set one 25-16. Cornerstone was able to come back swinging in the next set, taking set two 25-23. The Warriors were not done, and thanks to a 7-2 run were able to take set three confidently 25-18. Up next for the Golden Eagles, Cornerstone University will continue an away game stretch and travel to Lourdes University, where they will take on the #13 ranked Gray Wolves in Sylvania, Ohio at 12 p.m.

Set 1
- The Golden Eagles begin the match with a service error to put the Warriors up 1-0.
- Joshua Beaumont gets the first kill of the match for Cornerstone; Indiana Tech still lead 2-1.
- David Galanes grabs a kill to end a 4-0 run by the Warriors, who still lead 5-3.
- Third kill from David Galanes to attempt to close the gap between the two teams. Indiana Tech lead 7-4.
- Ernest Broaster gets a kill of his own. The Golden Eagles still trail 9-5.
- Indiana Tech keeps it coming, going on a 9-2 run to continue their commanding lead 18-8, as Cornerstone are forced to take another timeout.
- Andrew Galanes gets two kills to try and keep the Golden Eagles in set one. The Warriors still lead 19-11.

- The second set is underway with a kill from Ernest Broaster to give Cornerstone the first lead of the night 1-0.
- Kyi Jagorin's service ace gives Cornerstone the lead 10-9 midway through the second set.
- Joshua Beaumont follows his block with a kill of his own to make the score of the second set 14-11 Cornerstone.
- Indiana Tech go on a 4-1 run to tie the set up 15-15.
- Some miscommunication from the Warriors sees Ernest Broaster's attack hit the ground to keep the second set close. The Warriors lead 17-16.
- The service ace from Indiana Tech give them a five-point lead late in the second set 22-17.
- Patrick Voloch has a block of his own to keep the second set within reach. The Golden Eagles still trail 22-19.
- Patrick Voloch gets a kill by setting the ball towards the back corner, forcing the Warriors into a timeout. Indiana Tech are still ahead 22-21.

David Galanes led both teams in total kills on the night, with 23 kills on 28 attempts. 6 of those kills alone came in the final set that saw the Golden Eagles win 15-13.

Patrick Voloch also led both sides in total assists at 47. At the same time grabbing two kills of his own.

Joshua Beaumont highlighted the Cornerstone defense, as he tallied 8 total blocks and 7 kills as well.

Kyi Jagorin also led both teams in total digs, as he was able to defend the Golden Eagle side of the court with 17 total digs.
