MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – It was the final match of men's volleyballs best season in its young history, as they took on and swept Mount Vernon in three sets 25-13, 25-20, 25-20. The offense was powered by the Galanes brothers, David had 13 kills with Andrew right behind him with 11.
Patrick Voloch tallied 30 assists as the Golden Eagles improved to 21-4 on the year. Men's Volleyball secured the two-seed in the WHAC Tournament and will have a first-round bye. They will play on Friday, April 19 against the winner of the three vs. six seed being played on Tuesday, April 16.

- The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 6-1 advantage over Mount Vernon thanks to kills from Andrew Galanes and David Galanes

- The Golden Eagles are five points away from a set two victory as Ernest Broaster registers another kill.
- Cornerstone thanked Mount Vernon for the free points as back-to-back service errors gave CU the 25-20 set two victory.

- Another service error from Mount Vernon and a kill from Ernest Broaster gave Cornerstone the 6-3 advantage over the Cougars.
- A 5-1 run from CU sees them leading 11-5 after a kill from David Galanes.
- Mount Vernon has rallied four straight points to cut into the Golden Eagle lead, 15-10.
- A 5-1 run from the Cougars keeps them around as the match is now 19-16. David Galanes would end the run with a kill to make it 20-16.
- Andrew Galanes gets two kills in the final three points to give the Golden Eagles a 25-20 set three victory.
