GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has released their 2024 regional awards and Cornerstone sees junior outside hitter Ernest Broaster named to the All-Region Honorable Mention Team. Broaster is one of 16 NAIA region athletes to be named to the honorable mention list as he continues to add to his award list in his first year as a Golden Eagle.

In 2024, Broaster led the team in multiple categories hitting a whopping .355 for a team high 375 kills. He averaged 4.41 kills per-set and totaled 450 points on the year to pace the Golden Eagles in a historic season. He also led the team in service aces with 41 and recorded 58 total blocks as a defender. Ernest was also named as the WHAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference in his first season at Cornerstone.
