Mishawaka, Ind. – The Golden Eagles were challenged in a tough matchup against #RV Bethel. The match finished 2-0 in favor of the Pilots who scored two early goals that ended up being the deciding factor. First Half
- The Pilots started off aggressive in this matchup with an early shot by Leena Thomas in the fifth minute of the match.
- Bethel stormed out in front early with two goals from Leena Thomas in the first 12 minutes of the match.
- Cornerstone looked to get back into the match with back-to-back shots in the 20th minute, but both were saved.
- Bethel continued their heavy pressure with three consecutive corner kicks in the 33rd minute.
- The half finished with a score of 2-0 in favor of Bethel.
Second Half
- Cornerstone's defense looked to convert to offense early in the second half with Jada VanNoord's shot that was saved by Bethel in the 65thminute.
- The Golden Eagles forced the issue with heavy pressure late and looked to get back into the match but could not find a way through Bethel's defense.
- The match finished 2-0 which gave Bethel the victory thanks to their first half goals.
