COLUMBIA, Mo. – The men's and women's cross-country team traveled down to Missouri to compete in the Gan's Creek Classic hosted by Missouri. Both teams had a little taste of what to expect at nationals as this course will be host to the NAIA National Championship in a little under two months.
Jamin Thompson led the way for the men's side, posting a time of 25:24.1 to finish 68
th among division one competitors.
Kori Baumann led the way for the women's side, placing 50
th with a time of 22:48.4. Overall, the Golden Eagles saw 31 different PR's throughout the day. Cross Country will be back in action in under a month as they will compete in Grand Rapids on October 26.
Men's Results: 15th of 29
In a loaded field of competitors, the Golden Eagles came away with three times under 26 and two under 27 to round out the top five times.
Jamin Thompson led the way once again for Cornerstone with a season's best 8K time of 25:24.1.
Peyton Tipton came in with a 25:42.4 and
Isaiah Jacobs with a 25:57.6 as the other times under 26.

The women impressed in a loaded field of competition, finishing in sixth place thanks to three runners under 23 minutes in the 6K.
Kori Baumann led the way with a time of 22:48 as
Emma Moore was right behind her with a time 22:50 and
Jacie Remtema at 22:56.
