Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles had three road matchups last week going 1-2 in that stretch. They were swept by cross town rival #RV Aquinas and then bounced back on Friday with a 3-1 win over UNOH, then closed out the week with a 3-1 loss to Indiana Tech. 
 
A look at the WHAC
Aquinas sits at the top of the WHAC with an 14-0 record in conference play, followed by Rochester Christian with a 11-4 record. Cornerstone lands in third with a 10-4 record with Indiana Tech right behind in fourth holding a 10-5 record. 
 
Scouting Defiance
Defiance currently sits in seventh place in the WHAC with an 7-8 conference record (14-13 overall) as they get ready to go against the Golden Eagles on Friday. The Yellow Jackets have lost two straight and will look to bounce back. Defiance is led by Chaney Brodbeck who has 328 kills on the season and is averaging 3.25 kills per set while also leading the team in digs with 305. 
 
Scouting Lourdes
Lourdes currently has an overall record of 6-15 (2-13) as they have a matchup against Aquinas to open the week. The Gray Wolves have lost three in a row and will look to break that streak in the upcoming matches. Jolie Sobb leads Lourdes on the offensive side of the ball with 184 kills while Emma Coffey leads the defense with 288 digs.
