GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Volleyball is set to host Defiance College for the WHAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday, November 12th. The semi-final matches will be held at the highest remaining seed in the tournament on Friday, November 14th and the final on Saturday, November 15th at the highest remaining seed. The Golden Eagles finished the regular season with a 24-6 (16-4) record and secured the #2 seed in the conference.

Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles finished off the regular season on the road against Michigan-Dearborn on Friday, November 7th and then closed it out on Saturday at Madonna. Cornerstone swept the Wolverines for the fifth sweep in a row which was highlighted by the VerBerkmoes sisters each having ten kills. The Golden Eagles finished the weekend with a 3-2 win against Madonna which saw Gianna Warwick record 23 digs along with Gabby VerBerkmoes and Aubrey Johnson both collecting 15 kills.
 
A look at the WHAC
Aquinas won the WHAC regular season going 20-0 in conference play, with the Golden Eagles finishing in second with a 16-4 record. Indiana Tech moved up to third place with Rochester Christian and Lawrence Tech rounding out the top five. Aquinas is set to host Siena Heights while Indiana Tech hosting Lawrence tech and Madonna and RCU round out the quarterfinal's matchups on Wednesday.
 
Scouting Defiance
Defiance finished seventh in WHAC with a 9-11 record in conference play. The Yellow Jackets finished their regular season with a 3-2 win over Madonna before losing to Siena Heights 3-2 in their regular season finale. Chaney Brodbeck led the Yellow Jackets attack with 396 kills on the season.
