Women's Volleyball Prepares for Pool Play Action in Iowa

Sioux City, Iowa – Women's Volleyball prepares for two pool play matches in the NAIA WVB National Championship. The Golden Eagles will face #8 Indiana Wesleyan and #13 IU-Kokomo with the winner of the pool moving on to bracket play.

Last Game Recap
The Golden Eagles last played on November 22nd where they hosted Walla Walla University for the NAIA WVB National Championship Opening Round. Cornerstone was able to win the first two sets, but Walla Walla fought back to send the opening round match to a fifth and final set. The Golden Eagles went on to dominate in the final set and secured a spot to play in Sioux City, Iowa. 
 
Scouting Indiana Wesleyan 
Indiana Wesleyan has a 28-4 overall record while going 17-1 in the Crossroads League. The Wildcats were the Crossroads League regular season champions and went on to win the conference tournament as well, sweeping each team they faced including #12 ranked Mount Vernon Nazarene. IWU hosted Stephens College in the NAIA WVB National Championship Opening Round where they defeated the Stars in three sets. Marissa Mullins led the Wildcats attack with 306 kills while Abbigail Porter set the tone with 1,093 assists. Cadee Notter headlines the defensive side of the ball with 559 digs averaging 5.04 digs per set. 

Scouting IU-Kokomo
IU-Kokomo has a 31-5 record going 16-0 in the River States Conference. The Cougars were the regular season champions of the River States Conference and went on to win the conference tournament, sweeping each team they faced. IU-Kokomo hosted Reinhardt University in the NAIA WVB National Championship Opening Round and went on to defeat the Eagles in three sets. The Cougars have multiple threats on the offensive side of the ball as they have three players with over 300 kills on the season. Avery Littrell leads the defense for the Cougars with 449 digs while Lexi Broyles has 106 total blocks on the season.
