Grand Rapids, Mich. – Men's Basketball took a big step forward today with their 90-76 victory over Lawrence Tech. The Golden Eagles fell earlier this season in this matchup but turned it around well on their home floor.
Luke Rowlinson came out hot scoring the first eight points of the game for Cornerstone as well as finishing with 21 in the win.
Blake Stewart chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds with
Connor Dykema right behind him with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Toby Woolcock also added six points, nine rebounds, and nine assists as he was getting it done all over the floor. The Golden Eagles move to 17-8 (13-4) on the year as they head to Cleary for their next game on Saturday, February 15 for a 3:00 p.m. tip.

First Half
- Lawrence Tech came out hot with multiple three balls to take an early 8-2 lead with Luke Rowlinson adding a bucket for the Golden Eagles in that stretch.
- Luke Rowlinson continued to lead this Cornerstone offense early as he knocked down back-to-back three-point buckets, yet the Golden Eagles trailed 13-8 with 15 minutes left to play in the first half.
- Connor Dykema and Blake Stewart began to get their way in the paint as they scored two buckets to bring the game to 17-15 with the Golden Eagles right on the tails of the Blue Devils.
- Andy Mora flipped the tide for the Golden Eagles with a quick solo five point run to take a 25-21 lead with 10 minutes left to play in the half.
- Eli Steffen got back in on the scoring with a smooth mid-range bucket for the Golden Eagles in a back-and-forth battle.
- Lawrence Tech continued to hang around knocking down threes from all over the arc as they only trailed 26-29 with eight minutes left to play.
- Blake Stewart played with an unmatched intensity as he was all over the floor to secure an offensive rebound and score for the Golden Eagles.
- Connor Dykema extended the Cornerstone lead to five points with a strong layup after the offensive rebound as there was five minutes left to play.
- Blake Stewart and Mason Brooks added points for the Golden Eagles to give Cornerstone their largest lead of the half at 40-33.
- Jack Joldersma added two more buckets in the final minutes of the half as Cornerstone led 48-38 at the half.
- Luke Rowlinson led the way with 15 first half points for the home squad.
Second Half
- The second half started quickly once again for the Blue Devils as they kicked it off with a monster slam.
- Aaron Dolny was the sole offense for the Blue Devils as he scored eight straight points to take the lead at 51-49 with 17 minutes left to play.
- Toby Woolcock and Blake Stewart found success in the paint as they both scored to regain the lead for Cornerstone at the 15-minute mark.
- Lawrence Tech knocked down a three to take the lead back once again, but Kayden Bird splashed a corner three-point bucket to give Cornerstone a 56-54 lead.
- Toby Woolcock found two more buckets for Cornerstone as they led 60-57 with 12 minutes left to play.
- Lawrence Tech refused to go away as they tied the game up at 62-62 headed into the final 11 minutes of the game.
- Kayden Bird and Eli Steffen knocked down three pointers to finally separate the two teams in the second half.
- Jack Joldersma scored two free throws for the Golden Eagles as they led by eight points with 10 minutes left to play.
- Luke Rowlinson continued to have a strong performance with two more scoring plays for Cornerstone to maintain a seven-point advantage.
- Connor Dykema completed a strong three-point play for the Golden Eagles as they began to control the game.
- Blake Stewart quick steal led to a big-time slam dunk for Cornerstone as he had everyone in Mol Arena on their feet.
- Eli Steffen and Blake Stewart closed out the scoring for the Golden Eagles as they secured a 90-76 win.
