Last Week Recap
Men's Volleyball had two matches last week and came away with a tough 1-1 week. The Golden Eagles opened the week at Aquinas and came away with an easy 3-0 sweep behind Brunno Peres and his 12 kills. They would then travel to top WHAC team #9 Lawrence Tech and dropped their first match of the year in four sets. The stat sheet shows Cornerstone edging Lawrence Tech in some areas, but the Blue Devils did just enough each set to take down the Golden Eagles. The loss moves men's volleyball to 8-1 (1-1) on the season.

Looking at Lourdes
Lourdes comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 3-4 (1-1) on the young year. The Gray Wolves are coming off a tough 3-2 loss at #15 Indiana Tech last week before winning against Mount Vernon in three. Men's Volleyball in their five-year program career has never beaten Lourdes as they look to change that Tuesday night. Lourdes is averaging 12.2 kills per-set, hitting .241. They are also averaging 10.4 digs and 1.5 blocks per-set. They are led by Vinicius Lopez and Jaber Badarne with their 91 and 89 kills on the year set by Joey Bianco.

Looking at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Mount Vernon Nazarene comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 1-8 (0-4) on the year. The Cougars opened the year with a victory but have dropped their last eight games as they take on Rio Grande before the Golden Eagles this week. Mount Vernon averages 8.56 kills per-set while hitting .105. They are also averaging 7.63 digs and 1.23 blocks per-set. They are led by Ethan Cline and his 78 kills while being set by Tyler Shields.

Looking at Indiana Tech
Indiana Tech comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 3-5 (2-0) on the year as they take on Bethel and Aquinas earlier in the week. The Warriors have struggled early in the season, winning their last two games but have faced the #2, #3, #4, and #5 ranked teams in the nation, falling in all four of those games. Indiana Tech will be a tough matchup for the Golden Eagles as they are averaging 10.5 kills while hitting .199. They are also averaging 10 digs and 1.5 blocks per-set. They are led by Dylan Poore and his 83 kills while being set by Daniel Mitsin.
