Last Week Recap
Men's Basketball finished last week 1-1 and came up just shy as they looked for their seventh consecutive victory. The first matchup of the week came against Rochester Christian on the road where the Golden Eagles controlled most of the game and came away with a 94-81 win. It was a full team effort as Luke Rowlinson posted 26 points and Mason Brooks was right behind him with 21 of his own. Blake Stewart also finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Golden Eagles. 
 
In the second matchup of the week Cornerstone hosted Madonna where it was a physical battle from the tip. The Golden Eagles fought to the end but the clutch buckets down the stretch for the Crusaders was too much to overcome for the home squad. Cornerstone was defeated 86-81 despite Mason Brooks strong 25-point outing. Toby Woolcock also posted a career high in points with 22 for Cornerstone. 
 
Scouting Defiance 
Defiance comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 7-14 (4-11) on the season. The Yellow Jackets have found four wins in their last nine games and have continued to be led by Connor Bush who is averaging 14.2 points per-game. The Golden Eagles have already met the Yellow Jackets this season on their home floor where they ran away with a 118-54 victory. Defiance will need to bring an inspired performance against Cornerstone this weekend if they have any chance at keeping up in this matchup.
