FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Women's Tennis traveled to Indiana Tech to compete for the first time since spring break and shook off any rust in an impressive 4-3 victory over the Warriors. It started off hot for the Golden Eagles as the doubles team of
Camila Ibarra/
Renata Castillo and
Sarah Daza/
Daniela Fernandez won their match to give Cornerstone an early 3-0 advantage. Needing just to tie in the singles matches, the Golden Eagles did so thanks to wins from
Sarah Daza, Daniel Fernandez, and
Heidi Brandt. It was the best start to conference play that the Golden Eagles hoped for as they came together and battled all day.
The girls will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Lawrence Tech at 12 p.m.
