Grand Rapids, Mich. – Softball kicked off their battle with Cleary first with Senior Day celebrations as they honored six ladies on an incredible career as Golden Eagles. Game one resulted in a 7-4 victory for Cornerstone as they dominated from the start. In the second contest of the day 
Anna Griffioen stole the show with a walk-off home run to seal the sweep over Cleary. The ladies will travel to Concordia on Monday, April 21
st for their next double-header starting at 3pm. 
 
Game One Recap: Cornerstone – 7 Cleary – 4
	- The Golden Eagles kicked off the first inning with a piece of history for Morgan Jenkins as she set the single season stolen base record at 28 through 35 games but the ladies could not drive her in.
- Cleary struck first in the contest as they tallied the first run of the game in the top of the 3rd inning. 
- Anna Griffioen kicked off her day in style with a two-shot homer that boosted Cornerstone to their first lead of the game at 2-1 in the bottom of the 3rd. 
- The flood gates opened in the 5th inning for the Golden Eagles as Maddy Chatman kicked it off with a double into deep left field. 
- Morgan Jenkins brought in a run thanks to a single that set up Sam Timmer which she took full advantage of as she doubled which allowed Cornerstone to jump out to a 6-1 lead. 
- The Golden Eagles were not finished as strong at bats continued to be the story as they closed out the 5th inning with a 7-1 lead. 
- Cornerstone wavered in the top of the 6th, but Allie Lubben secured the ladies game one of the double-header with a score of 7-4. 
Game Two Recap: Cornerstone – 7 Cleary – 5
	- Game two was jump started by the Cougars as they caught Cornerstone off guard and punched in three quick runs. 
- Sam Timmer got the Golden Eagles back on track with a solo home run down the left field line that helped cut into the Cougars lead. 
- The third inning belonged to Cleary as well as they continued to add runs which helped them lead 4-1. 
- The ladies continued to put their bat to the ball but could not find the gaps as they still trailed after the 4thinning. 
- Delaney Wilson and Taylor Zwagerman both secured doubles to drive in another run for Cornerstone to kick off the bottom of the 5th inning. 
- Maddy Chatman singled deep into right field to drive in multiple runs as the Cougars defense began to bend. 
- The Golden Eagles closed out the 5th inning with a 5-4 lead thanks to mistakes from the away squad. 
- Cleary did not break as they responded right away with a run of their own to tie the game up headed into the final inning. 
- The Anna Griffioen show was on full display when Cornerstone needed it most as she cracked a ball deep into center field for her second homer of the day and a walk-off game two victory.

What's Next?
The Golden Eagles take a small break as they return early next week for another WHAC double-header on Monday, April 21 against Concordia on the road.
