Men's Basketball Set to Host Two WHAC Matchups

Last Week Recap
Men's Basketball put an end to their losing streak last Wednesday with a ten-point win over Michigan-Dearborn. Blake Stewart led the charge recording a double double with 24 points and 11 rebounds along with Kayden Bird scoring 22 points and Levi Schultz tallying another double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Golden Eagles then traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana where they took on the #9 ranked Indiana Tech Warriors. Despite outscoring Indiana Tech in the second half, Cornerstone fell 89-74. Tre Seydel led the team in scoring with 18 points going 5-8 from three while also grabbing six rebounds. 


Scouting Aquinas
Aquinas is 6-9 on the season and 4-6 in WHAC play. The Saints are averaging 70.7 points per game while giving up 73.9 points to their opponents per game. AQ is shooting 40.1 % from the field and 32.9% from three. Reigning WHAC Defensive Player of the week Caden Pokorzynski leads the Saints averaging a double double with 18.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. 

Scouting Lourdes
Lourdes is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll with a 13-3 record on the season and 7-3 in WHAC play. The Gray Wolves will face UNOH before their matchup with the Golden Eagles. Lourdes is averaging 82.3 points per game while holding their opponents to 74.2 per game. LU is shooting 48.1 % from the field and 34.7% from three. Derek Fairley leads the Gray Wolves in scoring averaging 23.7 points per game shooting 48.1% from the field and 40.4% from three.
