GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone Women's Volleyball is excited to announce three signings for the incoming Freshman class of 2026. The Golden Eagles are bringing in outside hitter Riley Pilat, setter Miley Southland and middle blocker Kaelyn Sohre. Coach
Megan Lenhart is excited to get these girls on the campus of Cornerstone for the 2026 season.
Riley Pilat is the daughter of Jim and Emily Pilat and is coming from Plymouth Christian Academy where she was a four-time all-conference, four-time all-state and conference MVP. Pilat plans to major in exercise science during her time as a Golden Eagle.
Why CU?
" I chose Cornerstone because I felt so welcomed and included right as I stepped on campus. The girls and coaches on the volleyball team were so kind to me, and I loved the school/campus. I wanted to further my Christian education, and I knew Cornerstone was the right place for that."

Megan Lenhart has to say about Riley, "Riley has such a competitive spirit and great all-around skills as a six-rotation pin hitter. She has the qualities to be a great leader for us who understands the importance of serving those around her. We are excited to add her experience and passion to our program."
Miley Southland is the daughter of Jamey and Amy Southland and is coming from Three Rivers High School. During her time there, she was named First Team All-Conference and All-Region in '23, '24 and 25, third team All-State in '23, second team All-State in '24 and '25 along with AVCA Region 5 All-Region in 2024. Southland plans to major in exercise science during her time as a Golden Eagle.

Megan Lenhart has to say about Grace, "Miley is from FaR Out Volleyball Club, which has produced several outstanding Golden Eagles. We've been able to watch her grow and develop over the last few years and are excited to bring her skills to our program. Her size and mobility will add great depth to our setter position. She is also just a great teammate who has an infectious personality."
Kaelyn Sohre is the daughter of Joel and Jennifer Sohre and is coming from Cedarburg High School in Wisconsin. While at Cedarburg, Kaelyn was earned first-team All-Conference in 2025, second-team All-Conference in '24 along with the varsity offensive player of the year award in both '24 and '25. Sohre plans to major in nursing during her time as a Golden Eagle.

" I chose Cornerstone because I immediately felt at home surrounded by the amazing Christian atmosphere. The coaches and other players have been incredibly welcoming, and I cannot wait to compete alongside them."

Megan Lenhart has to say about Kaelyn, "Kaelyn is one of our first recruits from Wisconsin. Since we first saw her film, her athleticism and quickness stood out to us. As we got to know her better, we knew she would be a great fit for our program. We are looking forward to her joining our strong group of middle blockers."
