Sylvania, Ohio – Men's Volleyball falls to Lourdes three sets to one, as errors haunted the Golden Eagles for the second game in a row. Matthew True led CU with 19 kills while Andrew Galanes led the team with 22 assists. Cornerstone is back on the road as they head to Indiana to face off against Goshen on Tuesday, February 17th at 7 p.m.

Game Recap – Cornerstone – 1 Lourdes – 3 (21-25, 25-20, 19-25, 16-25)
 
First Set: Cornerstone – 21 Lourdes – 25

• The match began with Lourdes going on a six-point run to take an 8-2 lead.
• JeQuarri Shannon responded with a kill, but the Gray Wolves went on another fun to extend their lead to ten.
• A kill from Kyle Kuebler and two errors by Lourdes made it a 20-9 game in favor of LU.
• Lourdes closed out the set going on a five-point run with three straight service aces to take a 25-9 set one victory.

Second Set: Cornerstone – 25 Lourdes– 20

• The second set started off much closer as CU got within two off a block by Andrew Galanes and JeQuarri Shannon.
• Cornerstone tied the set at 11 as they Gray Wolves committed back-to-back errors.
• The Golden Eagles went on a nine-point run highlighted by three kills from Matthew True to make it a 22-17 game in favor of CU.
• Matthew True secured the set two victory for Cornerstone with two kills to end the set.

Third Set: Cornerstone – 19 Lourdes – 25

• The third set began with two kills by Ethan Walker and a block by Walker and Andrew Galanes to tie the third set at six.
• Lourdes went on a 6-1 run to take a 13-7 lead.
• Cornerstone followed that up with a five-point run of their own which featured two kills by Matthew True.
• Andrew Galanes recorded two kills to keep CU within three as LU had a 20-17 lead.
• Lourdes took the win in set three off an error by the Golden Eagles.

Fourth Set: Cornerstone – 25 Lourdes – 22

• Set four started off as a back-and-forth battle as multiple kills by Matthew True made it a 6-6 tie.
• Back-to-back solo blocks by Ethan Walker and Andrew Galanes retied the set at nine after Lourdes scored three straight points.
• A kill from JeQuarri Shannon and a block by Andrew Galanes and Ethan Walker kept CU within two as Lourdes took a 19-17 lead.
• Two straight attack errors by the Gray Wolves brought Cornerstone within one making it a 21-20 game in set four.
• Lourdes went on a five-point run to close out the set and win the match 3-1.
