Fort Wayne, Ind. – Cornerstone Men's Basketball geared up for their WHAC Tournament Quarterfinal appearance against #RV Indiana Tech. The Warriors entered the tournament as the second seed, second just to Madonna University, while Cornerstone managed to reach the tournament as the seventh seed.
The Golden Eagles sat behind the Warriors at the end of the first half 54-37, despite the double-digit period from Blake Stewart. Stewart dropped 15 points in the first half as Cornerstone headed to the break, down by 17 points. Blake Stewart added 18 more points in the second half, along with 12 points from Kayden Bird, as the Golden Eagles outscored Indiana Tech in the second half of action 48-43. The first half lead created by the Warriors in the first half was too much for Cornerstone to come back from, as Indiana Tech completed the tournament win 97-85.
Men's Basketball completed their 2025-26 campaign with an overall record of 12-17 and a WHAC record of 11-11. The relatively young team will have lots of returning starters, as they look ahead to the next season of WHAC Men's Basketball.

Andy Mora opened up the scoring in this WHAC tournament game with a good layup in the paint to put Cornerstone up 2-0.

The first three pointer for Cornerstone came from Levi Schultz, as Cornerstone got back to the lead 8-5.

Blake Stewart followed that up with a three pointer himself that kept Cornerstone rolling 11-5.

A seven-point run by Indiana Tech gave them the lead with almost 13 minutes to play in the first half 16-15.

Kayden Bird hit his layup that put Cornerstone back in the lead 19-18.

Cornerstone held a seven-point lead with just under 11 minutes to play as Blake Stewart made another layup to make it 27-20.

It was the 19-point run by Indiana Tech that pushed them ahead by 12 points with under five minutes to go in the half 39-27.

Blake Stewart hit another two pointer to bring it back within eight points of the Warriors 39-31.

Eight more points by the Warriors at the end of the first half saw Cornerstone to the halftime break down by 17 points 54-37.

Levi Schultz got the first points of the second half for Cornerstone as they sat 19 points behind the host opposition 58-39.

Kayden Bird got open for a three pointer and drained it, as the Golden Eagles sought to fight back in the second half. Indiana Tech remained on top 69-51.

Andy Mora got the steal and took it back down the court for a layup. Cornerstone remained behind 69-55 with about 12 minutes to go.

The Indiana Tech lead was cut down to 12 points with under 10 minutes to play thanks to a layup by Levi Schultz, the score was 75-63.

Blake Stewart drove into the paint and made another layup to bring Cornerstone within 10 points 80-70.

At the charity stripe, Blake Stewart hit a free throw for the and-one play. Cornerstone still was behind the Warriors 80-73 with seven minutes to go in the contest.

Kayden Bird hit another three with under six minutes to play, but Indiana Tech still sat on top 84-76.

The late nine-point run by Indiana Tech seemed to seal the win for the Warriors at home as they got back up to a 16-point lead 94-78.

Cornerstone was unable to make the comeback come to fruition, as Indiana Tech held strong in their home arena 97-85.

33/.565 – Blake Stewart tied a career high performance with 33 total points against the Warriors, as he shot 56.5% from the field.
20/.636 – Kayden Bird knocked down 20 points, as he went 7-11 from the field for a field goal percentage of 63.6%.
12/8 – Just short of a double-double performance, Levi Schultz grabbed eight rebounds and put up 12 total points in the heartbreaking defeat.
10/5 - Andy Mora hit another five assists with 10 points on the night versus Indiana Tech.
