Defiance, Ohio – Men's Volleyball went back to work in another WHAC showdown this time taking on the Defiance Yellow Jackets on the road. The Golden Eagles were able to make quick work of the contest taking it in three sets.

Andrew Galanes also filled up the stat sheet in their strong team victory. Men's Volleyball will look to keep the momentum as they return to play on Saturday, February 28
th at 2:00 p.m. against Indiana Tech.
Game Recap – Cornerstone – 3 Defiance – 0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17)
First Set: Cornerstone – 25 Defiance – 19
- The Golden Eagles saw an early 5-4 lead to start the match with Matthew True collecting two kills and a service ace in that span.
- The set continued back and forth with errors, but both teams found themselves in a tight contest stuck all square at 10-10.
- Cornerstone continued to block hitting lanes against the Yellow Jackets as the errors continued to pile up with Cornerstone inching their way towards a set one victory.
- The Golden Eagles took set one as Andrew Galanes highlighted a pair of Cornerstone's final points to secure a 25-19 win.
Second Set: Cornerstone – 25 Defiance – 18
- The Yellow Jackets came to life early in the second set with a strong 4-1 advantage to open the play.
- Matthew True and Andrew Galanes continued their strong performances hitting as they helped CU pull within one of defiance.
- Ethan Walker got in on the action at the halfway point of the set securing Cornerstone a strong 17-12 lead.
- The Golden Eagles then relied on Ryder Roberts who swung himself into a trio of kills to bring home a 2-0 match lead.
Third Set: Cornerstone – 25 Defiance – 17
- Cornerstone opened the third set through Matthew True who secured three kills in the teams 7-1 start to the set.
- JeQuarri Shannon made an impact from the center of the court with a nice kill and block to set Cornerstone up with a 12-8 lead looking to secure a sweep.
- The Golden Eagles found kills from across the floor as they closed out a true team win sweeping the Yellow Jackets.

Andrew Galanes worked from everywhere on the floor with 11 assists, 10 digs, and nine kills.
