Defiance, Ohio – Women's Basketball defeats Defiance 65-43 to secure the season sweep over the Yellow Jackets.
Jaxi Long and
Maddie Schuur both scored 16 points leading the Golden Eagles offense with Long adding six rebounds in the effort. Cornerstone Women's Basketball returns home to face Rochester Christian on Saturday, February 7th at 1 p.m. inside Mol Arena.

- The Golden Eagles continued to grow their lead as Julie Ashbaugh sunk a free throw and Maddie Schuur finished a layup.
- Jaxi Long got back-to-back buckets for CU followed by a layup from Abby Hall giving Cornerstone a 24-9 lead with 3:55 left in the second quarter.
- Kennedy Matheny sunk a jumper while Jaxi Long nailed a three to close the first half making it a 29-16 game in favor of CU.
- Third Quarter
- The third quarter began with two good free throws from Jaxi Long and a jumper by Julie Ashbaugh growing the Cornerstone lead to 17.
- The Golden Eagles continued to add on as Jaxi Long drains a three and layup while Maddie Schuur knocked down another three to give CU a 44-22 lead.
- Maddie Schuur drains another three and a pair of free throws to extend the Golden Eagles lead to 25 over the Yellow Jackets.
- Cornerstone ended the third quarter with a three from Abby Hall and two good free throws from Jaxi Long to head into the fourth quarter with CU up by 28.
