GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's Soccer opens conference play this week in search of their first win of the season. The Golden Eagles will head to Southfield, Michigan Wednesday to face the Blue Devils of Lawrence Tech before returning home to face Madonna on Saturday.

Last Week Recap 
The Golden Eagles fell in both games they played last week. A close battle with the Cougars of Saint Xavier last Tuesday ended in heartbreak they lost in the final 30 seconds of the match with Isaac Kwantes scoring the lone goal of the week for CU. Cornerstone then hosted the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday where they fell 2-0. 
 
Scouting Lawrence Tech
Lawrence Tech is 1-4-2 to begin the year as they head in to conference play. LTU is coming off a week where they suffered losses to Adrian College and Huntington University both with a score of 4-1. The Blue Devils are averaging 1.57 goals per games while their opponents average 2.71 goals per game. Timotej Murcko leads LTU's offense with three goals on the season.
 
Scouting Madonna
Madonna is 2-2-2 as they head into conference play this week. MU is coming off a 2-1 loss against Taylor University with a match against #15 Rio Grande being delayed due to weather. The Crusaders are averaging 1.33 goals per game with their opponents averaging the same. Daniel Watkins leads Madonna with two goals this season.
