Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. – For the second straight day, the Cornerstone Volleyball team did not allow its opponent to not only win a set, but even get above the 15-point mark one time. CU posted a convincing 3-0 sweep of host Concordia on Saturday winning 25-11, 25-15, 25-14. The win improves the Golden Eagles to 16-6 on the year and 7-4 in league play as they will start the second half of round-robin next Wednesday at Aquinas at 7 p.m.

Murphy Heyer (JR/Rockford, Mich.) continued her solid play this week as the junior led the Golden Eagles with 10 kills to go along with 12 digs for the double-double. Chelsea Lake (JR/Lake Odessa, Mich.) (22) and Hope Leppink (FR/Holland, Mich.) (14) ran the offense with a combined 36 assists while Amber Carmean (JR/Fruitport, Mich.) (16) and Megan Newhouse (JR/Grand Haven, Mich.) (14) anchored the defense.
The outcome of the match was never really in doubt as Cornerstone rolled to the easy win on the road, picking up their second straight sweep to finish the week 2-1.
CU finishes the first half of league play with a 7-4 mark and will start the second back on the road as they travel down the East Beltline to rival Aquinas on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match.
