Match Flow…
Playing in front of their home crowd for the first time in 2016, the Golden Eagles came out a little slow as the visiting Saints took command early in the opening set and cruised to a 25-15 win. In a back and forth second set, CU evened the match by scoring four of the final five points to win 25-22.
CU then controlled the third set before a late Saints' rally brought the score close at 24-21, but after a CU timeout, the Golden Eagles got a big kill from
Heather Green to take a 2-1 lead in the match. With all the momentum on their side and the backing of a fantastic crowd, the Golden Eagles cruised to a 25-10 win in the fourth.
