GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The bats stayed hot on the opening weekend of the 2017 season and the pitching was just as strong as Cornerstone completed a 3-game sweep of visiting Lawrence Tech. CU won the opener today 11-2 and followed with a 12-1 mercy win in eight innings in the nightcap. Cornerstone (3-0, 3-0 WHAC) will head to Madonna next weekend for a 3-game series against the Crusaders.

On the mound, transfer
Kyle Herrick was strong over seven innings as he allowed two runs on two hits while striking out six in his debut in a Cornerstone uniform.
