LIMA, Ohio – The change of scenery and the press defense by the Racers got to the Golden Eagles early, as CU fell behind 22-6 to begin the game and was unable to overcome the deficit losing 81-66. Cornerstone is now midway through the conference season holding an overall record of 9-10 and a WHAC record of 6-5. CU will return home for their next game against Concordia on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Game Flow
The Golden Eagle offense was sputtering early on, scoring just eight points in the first quarter on 2-11 shooting and falling behind 25-8. CU showed signs of life to begin the second quarter with a 5-0 run by
Taylor Richards that forced a UNOH timeout, but the Racer offense continued to surprise the Golden Eagles hitting 6-12 threes and shooting 45.7% from the field to take a 44-28 lead into the half.
Cornerstone shot the ball much better in the second half going 46.7% from the field, behind 13 points from
Jesse Sheridan in the half. This helped CU manage to cut the Northwestern Ohio lead all the way down to 12 a few times in the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth, but the Racers were able to secure the victory in the end with a late run that resulted in a final score of 82-66.

Jesse Sheridan was the only player to score in double figures for the Golden Eagles tonight going 9-18 from the field for 25 total points.
42 – Free throws were coming often in this one as CU went 15-24 from the line and UNOH went 14-18.
38-18 – The Golden Eagles were outscored in the pain 38 to 18 tonight.

Lizzy Otten led the team with four of Cornerstone's 11 total assists on the game.
3-8 – Cornerstone went 3-8 from behind the arc in the loss.
