GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone found themselves in a track meet with the No. 20 Indiana Tech Warriors, holding their ground in the first half, but 51 IIT second half points led to an 86-69 loss for the Golden Eagles. CU moves back to .500 on the year at 11-11, and is now 8-6 in the WHAC this season. CU will head back on the road for a two game road trip that starts Wednesday at Siena Heights at 5:30 p.m.
Game Flow
In a half that saw very few stoppages and just seven fouls, the Golden Eagles began a track meet with the No. 20 ranked Warriors leading to a 51.2% mark from the field for Cornerstone. After an 8-2 run to begin the game by CU, the Warriors battled back creating a heavily back and fourth first half, resulting in just a two-point lead for CU at the break at 37-35. 12 points from

Lizzy Otten powered the Cornerstone offense in the first half.
Keanna Gary came out on fire to start the third quarter for Indiana Tech scoring 18 of the first 20 points for the Warriors. CU had no answer for her and the IIT offense as they were outscored 31-11 in the period for an 18-point deficit. CU continued to have no answers in the fourth as Gary added eight more points in the fourth quarter to give the Warriors an 86-69 road win.

Mya Udell (11pts) were hot from the field in this one combining for an 11-16 mark from the field.
11-3 – Indiana Tech hit 11 of 20 from deep while CU went just 3 of 11 from behind the arc.

Lizzy Otten led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 20 points, going 9-17 from the field.
7 – Cornerstone recorded a season low seven turnovers in the loss.
12-15 – The Golden Eagles went 12-15 from the free throw line in the game.
