Game Flow
After getting down 6-0 to begin the first quarter, the Golden Eagles exploded for a 19-0 run powered by the inside game of Shelby Nyboer and
Cass Vredevoogd. CU was up 23-10 at the end of one quarter and built upon that in the second quarter, getting up by 18 points on a
Jesse Sheridan three-pointer. IWU then cut it back to a 15-point deficit at halftime, 44-29.
Indiana Wesleyan came out of the break fired up, and it showed on the court as they outscored Cornerstone 21-11 in the third period to bring their deficit down to just five points. The Wildcats continued that momentum into the fourth, taking their first lead since early in the first quarter on a layup by Carly Lange. CU then had a pair of key layups by Shelby Nyboer and
Jesse Sheridan to get back up by four with just three minutes remaining, but back-to-back three's by Kelsey Key proved to be the difference maker in the game. CU had a chance down one with 12 seconds remaining, but an illegal screen call resulted in a turnover that sealed the game for the Wildcats, 74-70.

Say What….?
"We did a great job on the defensive end in the first half. We boxed out well and pushed the ball in transition. The second half we allowed too many offensive boards and there were too many mistakes on defensive rotations, which resulted in them getting back into the game." – Head Coach
Katie Mattera
