GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Coming off a tough weekend in Wisconsin, the No. 10 ranked Cornerstone Volleyball team rolled to a straight sets victory over rival Aquinas on Wednesday night. The 25-20, 25-20, 25-18 win lifts CU to 9-5 on the season and 2-0 in WHAC play. Cornerstone will host UNOH on Friday at 7 p.m. and Indiana Tech on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Cornerstone fell behind early in the opening set and trailed by as many as five (9-4) but a run of 9-2 gave the Golden Eagles a 13-11 lead and it was one they would not relinquish, winning 25-20.
The second set saw Cornerstone make a late run to take a 19-19 tie to score five of the final six points. The run came behind the strong serving of
Maria Ma and two kills each from
Madison Herrema and
Kendra Zwart.
Set three was controlled by Cornerstone from the beginning as they hit .316 while limiting the Saints to just .115.

- Kendra Zwart had 14 kills with one error on 23 attempts
- Madison Herrema had a big match with nine kills on 11 attempts
- Hope Leppink led the way with 32 assists
- Three different players finished with at least four digs

Cornerstone will come back to Mol Arena this weekend for a pair of matches on Friday against UNOH and Saturday against Indiana Tech.
