GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In a matchup of last year's WHAC regular season co-champions, the No. 14 ranked Golden Eagles made quick work of visiting Lourdes behind a strong defensive effort at the net. CU swept the Gray Wolves 25-19, 25-20, 25-20 to improve to 12-5 on the year and 5-0 in the WHAC. Cornerstone will have the weekend off as they prepare for a big week that sees them travel to RV Siena Heights and 20 Madonna as well as UM-Dearborn.
Match Flow…

CU used a 6-0 spurt in the opening set as they took a 9-9 tie and made it 15-9 behind three blocks and a couple of kills. They went on to win the opener 25-19.
With the Golden Eagles leading 8-6 in the second set, CU got four straight points behind a pair of blocks and a pair of kills from
Heather Carlson and
Jackie Stanko to lead 12-6 and they never looked back, winning 25-20.
The third set was all Cornerstone as they built a 24-13 lead only to see the Gray Wolves fight back to get within 24-20 before a final block from
