DEARBORN, Mich. – After losing their first conference match in over a year last night, the No. 14 ranked Golden Eagles rebounded with a dominating win over UM-Dearborn on the road on Saturday afternoon. The 25-20, 25-16, 25-18 win over the Wolverines lifts CU to 14-6 overall and 7-1 in the league. Cornerstone will have just one match next week as they play at Concordia on Wednesday night.

The two teams traded points for much of the opening set until CU used a 5-0 run to end it as they got a kill from
Kendra Zwart, two aces from
Mackenzie Vallad, a hitting error from UMD and a kill from
Ellie Van Laar.
Set two was controlled by the Golden Eagles from the outset as they built a 10-5 lead after a 5-0 run that was finished by a kill from
Heather Carlson. CU then scored nine of the next 12 points to open a 19-8 lead and they went on to win 25-16.
The third set saw CU build a 10-5 lead once again and they never let it under four throughout the remainder while going on to win 25-18.

Cornerstone will have only one match next week as they head into fall break and they will meet Concordia in Ann Arbor on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
