Moon's first career goal lifts Men's Soccer over SHU

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The inclement weather on Wednesday evening couldn't stop Men's Soccer from playing their match against Siena Heights. JuChan Moon scored his first career goal in the 76th minute to give Cornerstone the 1-0 victory. The Golden Eagles improve to 5-7-1 overall, 4-2 in the WHAC.  Cornerstone will continue conference play on Saturday afternoon at Lourdes.

How it happened:

  • Both teams only had two shots in the first half.

  • Cornerstone had four corner kicks in the second half, while Siena Heights had none.

  • JuChan Moon sealed the game-winner with less than 15 minutes to play.

 

 

Golden performances

  • JuChan Moon is the third senior this year to score a game-winning goal as their first career goal (Matt Luce vs. Concordia; Benjamin Overholt vs. Aquinas) Moon becomes the 9th Golden Eagle to record a goal this season.

  • Logan Johns tallied a career-high three shots.

     

What's Next?

The Golden Eagles will travel to Ohio on Saturday to take on Lourdes. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
