GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone fell in the opening set, 25-14 to rival Aquinas but it was all Golden Eagles after that as CU posted a 3-1 upset win over the Saints who are receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 Poll. The victory lifts Cornerstone to 17-8 overall and 9-4 in league action as they will resume play this weekend at their home tourney with matches at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

- Aquinas took advantage of a sloppy CU offense in the opening set to win 25-14
- CU connected on 46 kills in the final three sets alone and hit .244 in those wins
- CU forced AQ into 16 hitting errors in sets 2-3
- Tied 20-20 in the fourth set, CU got three straight kills from Kendra Zwart then a Madison Herrema kill and the match was finished on a Saint hitting error
