LIVONIA, Mich. – The Golden Eagles concluded the regular season on Saturday afternoon at #RV Madonna. The reigning conference champions entered the match having won 27 of their last 29 home matches over the past three seasons. The Crusaders proved that dominance, defeating Cornerstone 4-0 to finish their regular season with a 15-3 overall, 10-1 WHAC record. The Golden Eagles drop to 8-9-1 overall, 7-4 WHAC. Cornerstone will begin preparing for the the upcoming WHAC Tournament.
How it Happened
- Madonna jumped on the board in the 10th minute off a header in the box.
- Yuri Farkas, the WHAC's leading scorer, tallied his 19th goal of the season to give Madonna a 2-0 advantage in the 32nd minute.
- Kyle Tinnion doubled the deficit with a pair of goals late in the game to make it 4-0.
- Madonna outshot Cornerstone 21-3, the biggest deficit of the year for the Golden Eagles.
