GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A slow start was overcome by a late first half rally and a big second half run as No. 7 Cornerstone posted a 74-57 win over rival Aquinas. The victory is the third in a row for the Golden Eagles as they improve to 7-2 on the year and 3-0 in the WHAC. CU will play in the annual GR Sports Hall of Fame Classic this weekend at Calvin, starting with an 8 p.m. matchup against the host Knights on Friday night.

- Cornerstone made just six of their first 16 shots in the first half but closed by making 11 of their last 13
- Aquinas was 16/20 from the free throw line in the opening half
- There were a total of 22 fouls in the opening 20 minutes
- Leading by 10 (47-37) with just over 16 to play, CU went on a 9-2 run finished by a Tyler Baker triple
- The lead grew to 20 (70-50) after a Christian Rodriguez three and a Riley Costen layup
