GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After falling 25-19 in the opening set of the WHAC Semifinals, the Cornerstone Volleyball team won three straight, 25-20, 25-19, 25-22, to post a victory over Madonna. The win advances CU into the WHAC Championship match on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. against either No. 1 seed Aquinas or No. 4 seed Lawrence Tech.

- Cornerstone struggled on offense in the opener, posting eight hitting errors
- CU controlled the second set from the start, building leads of 5 and 6 before reaching 15
- The Golden Eagles trailed 19-18 in the third set but scored the final seven points
- Set four saw CU fall behind 11-6 forcing Coach Ryan Campbell into a timeout
- Trailing 18-13, CU scored seven of the next eight to pull ahead 20-19
- Cornerstone scored the final three points after being tied 22 which included a big block in the middle and kills from Madison Herrema and Bailey Cummings
