SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor Cougars tallied nine shots and one goal in each half to shut out the Golden Eagles 2-0 on Saturday afternoon. The loss sets CU back to 1-3 overall. Cornerstone will return home for two non-conference matches this week, with Saint Xavier on Wednesday and Olivet Nazarene on Friday.
How it happened:
• The Cougars had five shots in the first 15 minutes of the game.
• Spring Arbor got on the board by an own goal in the 20th minute, then added another in the 63rd minute.
• Cornerstone committed four fouls in the first half, and five in the second.
• The Golden Eagles only tallied two shots on goal all game.
