GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Cornerstone Men's Soccer team grabbed their first WHAC win of the season after defeating UM-Dearborn 1-0. The Golden Eagles are now 2-12-1 on the season and 1-7-0 in the WHAC. CU will look to build on this momentum on Saturday as they travel to Cleary University for a 7 pm match.
 
The Highlights

• A cagey first half saw chances created by both sides but at the half, no scores separated the two sides.
• CU broke through in the 59^th minute when a corner kick from Christian Galloway trickled through to Joshua Busscher, who finished from close in.
• An aggressive second half saw five yellow cards given out, with four them going against the Golden Eagles.
• Chances went both ways as time wound down, but the CU defense held firm to preserve a 1-0 victory.

• 1- Joshua Busscher has opened his goalscoring account for the season, grabbing his 1^st of the season.
• 2- Goalkeeper Josh Mitchell secured his 2^nd shutout of the season, making 3 saves along the way. Christian Galloway also tallied his 2^nd assist of the season, which leads the team.
• 4- CU was hit with 4 yellow cards in the second half. Both Micah Boggs and Jeshua Boggs now have 4 yellows on the season, one more will result in a one match suspension.
• 10- Cornerstone outshot UM-Dearborn 10-7, with 7 of their 10 shots being on target.
