GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After holding an early 5-0 lead, the Golden Eagles were unable to hold on falling 7-6 after a two out walk-off single for Davenport in the bottom of the ninth.
Jarod Burton would hit a grand slam in the game, the first of his career, but it was not enough as CU drops to 6-12 on the year. Cornerstone will return to the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex for a chance at redemption against Davenport tomorrow at 3 p.m. for a single nine inning game.

- After a quick first three innings for starting pitcher Chandler McKinney, the Davenport offense finally got to him scoring two runs in the fourth on a pair of solo homeruns.
