CHICAGO, Ill. – The Golden Eagles continued their season-opening four-game road trip on Saturday with an afternoon match at Saint Xavier. After being shut out in the first two games of the season, Cornerstone finally found the back of the net with a second half goal from
Colton Fair, but ultimately fell by a score of 2-1. The Golden Eagles will return to action on Tuesday evening with their first in-state matchup of the season at Spring Arbor.

- The Cougars took an early 1-0 advantage less than five minutes after kickoff.
- Saint Xavier doubled their lead just 23 seconds into the second half.
- Freshman Colton Fair tallied Cornerstone's first goal of the season at the game's 56:52 mark to cut the deficit to 2-1.
