BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Golden Eagles hit the halfway point of their fall season on Wednesday afternoon with a non-conference match against Olivet Nazarene. Cornerstone surrendered a pair of goals in each half en route to a 4-0 defeat. The loss sets their record back to 1-2 heading into Saturday's 7 p.m. WHAC match against Siena Heights.
The Highlights:
- The Tigers scored their first goal just ten minutes into the game when a lobbed pass up the middle led the attacker to a chest-to-foot play that found the back of the net.
- Olivet Nazarene capitalized on a loose ball late in the first half to double their lead to 2-0.
- After the first half, Olivet Nazarene's 2-0 lead was backed by a 12-1 edge in shots.
- With 20 minutes to play, the Tigers took advantage of a set piece by netting their third tally of the night.
- Olivet Nazarene put the finishing touches on the match with a late goal off a give-and-go play.
