Big runs help Women’s Volleyball cruise past UNOH to win eighth straight match

LIMA, Ohio – Cornerstone continued their best start since the 2007 season, improving to 8-0, 4-0 WHAC on the year with a 25-12, 25-17, 25-23 road sweep of Northwestern Ohio. Cornerstone has now swept the opponent in six of their first eight matches and dropped a total of just two sets this season. Play will continue on Tuesday, February 16 in Fort Wayne against the Indiana Tech Warriors who are the only other team in the WHAC who have yet to be beaten in conference play.

  • The Racers scored four of the next six points in the set, but it was too little too late as Cornerstone won 25-17.
  • Just like in set two, UNOH won the first three points of the set.
  • Cornerstone then went on a 4-0 run on the Patsy Morris serve to go on top. UNOH did a good job of getting a side out and limiting the run however as they trailed by one.

  • UNOH continued to fight and was able to tie the set at 21.
