FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Golden Eagles took on their first NAIA Top 25 team of the year in number 12 Indiana Tech on the road and the match did not go their way falling 9-0. CU was outshot 25-1 on the game and now drops below .500 at 4-5-1 on the year. CU will conclude the regular season with Northwestern Ohio for senior day on Monday, April 5 at 4 p.m.
The Highlights:
- Indiana Tech controlled the game from start to finish scoring their first goal in the sixth minute on a Pep Casas goal assisted from Lucca Motta.
- Luke Jones scored the Warriors second goal in the 14th minute on a Lucca Motta assists.
- Indiana Tech then broke it open with two more goals less than a minute apart as Jose Uvidia and Ryan Steele found the net.
- Tech scored one more first half goal in the 44th minute to lead 5-0 at the break.
- Second half was much of the same as 11 minutes into it Noe Garcia found the net.
- Indiana Tech would score three more times throughout the second half for the Golden Eagles biggest loss of the year, 9-0.
