MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Cornerstone continues to struggle on the road and at neutral sites in the early season, dropping five straight now after a 3-1 loss to (24) IU-Kokomo and a 3-0 loss to (25) Bethel University. CU is now 3-6 on the year as they will have a week off before hosting the Aquinas/Cornerstone Invite where they will play four more games in the span of two days vs. Rochester, IU-South Bend, St. Thomas, and IU-Kokomo again.

  • Set three, Cornerstone got out to a great start taking a 9-4 edge on a Patsy Morris kill and a Rylie Walters service ace.
  • Cornerstone would not relinquish the lead throughout as they won set three 25-19 and hit .227 in the set.
  • Another slow start would doom CU in set four however as IU-Kokomo went on top 7-2.
  • Cornerstone would never recover as the Cougars went on a 6-1 run and eventually won the set on a CU attack error, 25-15 to take the match 3-1.
