GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - For the first time in his career, junior Luke Pohl has earned WHAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after an outstanding performance in the IWU Invite where he ran the 1000m and the 5000m. The 5000m highlighted action for Pohl as he earned an automatic qualifier with an indoor PR of 14:39.31 to move him to third all-time on the CU indoor list. In the 1000m, Pohl also PR'd with a time of 2:34.37. The mark was not a standard but did improve his own ninth place mark in program history for the Golden Eagles. 

Pohl and the Golden Eagle track & field program will head to Hillsdale next Saturday for their wide track classic, while the multi's go to Grand Valley on Friday and Saturday to compete.
