SYLVANIA, Ohio – Women's Volleyball ties the longest win streak since 2016 with their 22nd straight victory with a five-set scare against Lourdes. It was a close match in every set that saw both teams battle it out to the end, but Cornerstone was able to do just enough to escape with a victory. Senior
Rylie Walters racked up 18 digs to hit the 1000 career dig mark. Cornerstone will return home to face off against rival Aquinas on Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m.
Game Highlights: Cornerstone – 3 Lourdes – 2 (25-23, 21-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-9)
• Lourdes came out hot in set one jumping out to a 6-3 lead before
Kaylee Dykema ended the run with a kill.
• Cornerstone has slowly chipped away to tie it up 10-10 after a service ace by
Aubrey Lenz and a kill by
Kylie Barron.
• Lourdes has slowly grown their lead as they force Cornerstone to take their first timeout as they lead 16-12 after a few attacking errors by the Golden Eagles.
• Cornerstone has stormed back using a 4-0 run to take the lead 21-20 and forcing Lourdes to take a timeout.

• Cornerstone has cut the lead to one 14-13 as Riley Walters and
Aubrey Lenz added kills for the Golden Eagles.
• Lourdes extended their lead 19-15 to force the Cornerstone timeout as McKenna Hall continues her strong play with back-to-back kills.
• Cornerstone forced the Lourdes timeout late in set two as they go on a little run to cut the deficit 23-20 as
Rylie Walters added a kill.
• Lourdes would close out set two strong winning it 25-21.
• Cornerstone and Lourdes have gone back-and-forth in the third set as they are tied 6-6 as

• After Cornerstone took the lead 10-6, Lourdes has stormed back to take the 14-12 lead after a few Cornerstone attack errors and a service ace by McKenna Hall.
• Lourdes continues to dominate in set three as they extended their lead 19-13 to force Cornerstone to use their final timeout.
• Cornerstone tried to come back but fell short losing in set three 25-20.
• Cornerstone came out strong in set four getting up early 8-4 with kills by
Olivia Keelean,
Kathryn Detweiler, and
Kaylee Dykema.
• Lourdes goes on a 5-0 run to tie the game at 14-14 in set four after three straight errors by the Golden Eagles.
