Women’s Bowling finishes 10th at third WHAC Jamboree

ALLEN PARK, Mich. –  The Golden Eagle women took to Allen Park for their third WHAC Jamboree of the season and final event of the 2022 year, as they finished 10th of 11 with 5660 total pins. The CU men did not compete due to not having enough bowlers available for full competition. Cornerstone returns to action on January 14 at the ISBPA Classic for their next event. 
 
Women's Results: 
Cornerstone opened play with a strong 797 as a team in their first game of four. Later in the individual play, CU combined for a team best 837 in game three. Lauren Lovett led the way for the Golden Eagles with a 727 to finish 21st individually, as she scored a 212 in game four. Nicole Will was also in the top 30, finishing 29th individually with a 694. 
 
In baker play, Cornerstone was consistent early, but struggled with a 605 and a 604 respectively through the first half of action. CU found their stride in the third baker with a dominant 701. CU ran out of steam in the final baker with their worst score of 597 to total 5660 pins on the day and finish 10th of 11 overall. 
 
Men's Results:
Golden Eagle men's bowling did not compete at the WHAC Jamboree due to not having enough bowlers available on Saturday afternoon. 
 
What's Next?
Cornerstone is done for the Fall semester. CU will return to action at the Kegel ISBPA Classic at Stardust Lanes on Saturday, January 14 at 8 a.m.
