SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Men's Basketball spoiled the senior night of the Blue Devils as they dominated from start to finish to win 69-44. It was a slow start for both teams before Cornerstone used the final 10-minutes of the first half to run away with the game, leading by 20 at halftime. Luke Rowlinson led the way scoring 15 points as Carter Nyp recorded another double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Cornerstone will be back in action as they will be playing in the first round of the WHAC Tournament on Thursday, February 23.
 
Game Highlights

• First Half
  • It was a slow start to the game as Cornerstone leads 4-2 after the first five-minutes of the game.
  • Carter Nyp scored the next five-straight points for the Golden Eagles to extend the lead 9-2 with 14:50 remaining in the first half.
  • It was hard to score for both teams as Cornerstone leads 13-9 with 9:52 remaining in the half.
  • Cornerstone used a 12-4 run to extend their lead 25-13 thanks to back-to-back threes by Trent Summerfield and a layup by Toby Woolcock.
  • Luke Rowlinson scores five straight points for the Golden Eagles to extend the lead 30-16 with 5:30 remaining in the half.
  • Cornerstone used the final five-minutes to go on a 13-7 run to lead 43-23 at halftime. Luke Rowlinson and Trent Summerfield drills another three for the Golden Eagles.
• Second Half
  • Just like the first half, it was a slow start for both teams but Lawrence Tech outscored Cornerstone 8-2 in the first five-minutes of second half, making it a 45-31 Cornerstone lead.
  • Golden Eagles went a 7-2 run to extend their lead 52-33 thanks to a pull up jumper by Jack Joldersma and another three by Luke Rowlinson.
  • Both teams have slowed their scoring down as a free throw by Trent Summerfield makes it 58-35 in favor of Cornerstone. 
  • Toby Woolcock scored five-straight points for Cornerstone as the Golden Eagles continue to run away with the game, leading 63-35.
  • Tre Seydel gets his first basket of the season with a great drive and reverse layup. Luke Vanderwerff adds a lefty layup as Cornerstone wins the game 69-44.
